GOODBYE ‘BEA VIE’
After three years, the Bea Vie production team, which I led,
carried out a review of the Bea Vie. It has been at times a
demanding and frustrating job, but one which in the end produced
a good contemporary Diocesan magazine.
However times and technology move on and with the advent of the
Diocesan web site we concluded that it was time for others to
take up the mantle and consider new and more effective ways of
communication.
‘Together’
is a temporary news-sheet from the Bishop’s office until a new
group of people, building on our experience, decide the way
ahead.

‘ALL
AGE PRAISE’ SERVICE
This service will be held
on Sunday 19th September at 10.30am. Parish Communion
will take place at 6.30pm in the evening.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School meets this month
in the Tower Room on 12th and 26th September,
duringthe Parish Communion,
at 10.30am
TINY TOTS
The
Tiny Tots Group of mums and pre-school children will meet at 2.00pm,
in the Tower Room on Wednesday 15th and 29th

CHOIR NEWS
 Starting
from the first Sunday in September, St. George's Choir will rehearse
at 9.45am prior to the Morning Service and at 6.00pm before the
Evening Service, instead of meeting on Friday evenings. We hope
this will encourage an influx of new singers from the congregation,
as you only need to rehearse for the service you attend. If you
can sing come and join us so that we can further enhance our

MEN’S
GROUP
The
Men’s Snooker Group is closed through September.
MOTHERS UNION NEWS
The
Mothers Union will issue their programme for the year’s activities
this month.
Their
programme begins next month at 2.00pm on Tuesday 5th
October in the Lady Chapel with a service of Holy Communion.
CHURCHWOMEN’S GUILD NEWS
The
Churchwoman’s Guild will issue their programme for the year’s
activities this month.
TUESDAY AT 10
The
Prayer Group meets each Tuesday in the Lady Chapel, at 10.00am and
begins again on 7th September.
THURSDAY AT 8
The Home Group will meet this
month on Thursday 23rd September, at 8,00pm in the
Vicarage.
BELL RINGERS NEWS
Practice night takes place on Tuesdays, at 7.00pm. New people
are welcome to have a go!
